Marine students graduate

Congratulations to all those students who graduated over the past week or so.

The Gillanders Aquatic Ecology lab had one PhD graduate, Dr Morgan Disspain and several of our Honours students graduating with their BSc degrees (Jackson Stockbridge, Nina Wootton). Other marine students graduating included Dr Jennie Pistevos (PhD) and Maddie Coutts (BSc). Morgan also received a Doctoral Research Medal. Congratulations to all.

Following the graduations the School of Biological Sciences held its annual prize giving. Dr Morgan Disspain was again recognized for receiving a University Doctoral Research Medal. Two other marine students also received prizes: Dr Tullio Rossi received an award to recognise and reward his outstanding all round achievement during his postgraduate study, which took into consideration academic achievement, and service to the School or University, scientific societies and community; and Dr Giulia Ghedini received an award recognising and rewarding her outstanding academic achievement during postgraduate study. Congratulations to all three School award winners.
